Dodgers Edge Yankees 4-2 in World Series Game 2, Taking a 2-0 Series Lead

The Los Angeles Dodgers are one game away from a commanding 3-0 lead in the World Series after edging out the New York Yankees 4-2 in a tight and tense Game 2 at Dodger Stadium.

The game was a pitching duel from the start, with both Clayton Kershaw and Gerrit Cole showing why they are two of the best in the game. Kershaw, pitching on short rest, was dominant, allowing just two runs on four hits over six innings, striking out eight. Cole, on the other hand, was slightly less effective, giving up three runs on six hits in five innings.

The Dodgers bullpen was outstanding in relief of Kershaw, shutting down the Yankees for the final three innings. Evan Phillips pitched a scoreless seventh inning, Brusdar Graterol pitched a scoreless eighth, and closer Craig Kimbrel closed out the game with a scoreless ninth.
